There has been a lot of hype recently around the idea of being THAT girl. But what does it even mean to be THAT girl? Here are 11 ideas on how to live a girl boss life.
It really doesn’t matter so much what you do as it does that you do something.
Moving your body is not only important for your health; it also improves your performance and mental wellbeing.
You can move your body by:
There is all this hype around waking up early. While I am the ultimate morning person myself, I think it is more important to have a consistent sleep schedule.
You can wake up a 9 am as long as you make sure to do so every day after 7-9h of sleep and as long as you compensate by working later into the night.
Being consistent will make it much easier for you to wake up in the morning, and you will be more well-rested.
Don’t sleep in on the weekends. Your body doesn’t understand why those two days should have a different routine. It will only make it harder to wake up normally on Monday again.

One of the reasons so many girls are unhappy when pursuing this ideal TikTok lifestyle is that they only do it for appearances sake.
Instead, they should do it because of how it feels.
So the next time you make yourself an aesthetic meal, don’t take a picture of it. Or take only one shot, do it quickly without much positioning, and put your phone away immediately.
Stop doing things solely to take Instagram-worthy pictures.
Doing that once in a while is fine and fun. But adjusting your days to create picture-perfect moments will make a pretty but unfulfilling shell of a life.
‘How to be THAT girl‘ content is just that – content that’s supposed to motivate you into BEING that girl and not just LOOKING like that girl.
So, live an aesthetic as f#ck life because it brings you peace and happiness, not because of the likes.
Being THAT girl means putting effort into things many people don’t even realize they have the power to control, such as your mindset.
A girl who has her life together knows that the way she experiences life largely depends on her mindset.
That’s why she practices gratitude daily.
Not only by routinely creating a list but by thanking the Universe/God for every blessing she encounters throughout the day.
A quick thank you in her mind, and a small smile on her lips is enough to make her feel more blessed than before.
Being THAT girl also means using affirmations. Most people see them as a cringy tool for even more cringy motivational speakers. But we modern girls know differently. We recognize their powers.
That’s why girls like us use affirmations daily, both in written form and mentally, to manifest our goals and make us more confident and calm.
But THAT girl goes one step further with her habits. She also does trauma and self-worth exercises.
The thing is, while gratitude and affirmations might be cringy, dealing with your trauma and lack of self-confidence is downright uncomfortable – but oh so important, as girls who have their life together know.
No amount of gratitude or affirmation will ever be able to equal out the damage that suppressed regret, guilt, anger, and fear create.
That’s why you should deal with these topics regularly.
That might come in the form of talking to a therapist or coach.
It can also mean bringing your regrets to the forefront of your mind by vividly visualizing the memory, forgiving your past self for doing what they did, forgiving your present self for holding the regret, and letting go of the toxic feelings as best as possible.
To be THAT girl, you should practice things like gratitude, affirmations, and self-worth because they are so important in the long run.
The hustle hype has created a kind of societal approvement and personal pride around being busy. People wear it like a badge of honor if they studied for 12 hours a day.
Being THAT girl means prioritizing productivity over busyness. It means working smart, not unnecessarily hard so that you can have a lot of free time.

Skincare is self-care. Whether or not you believe in its effects to make your skin look younger in the long term, a proper skincare routine can make you feel good right now.

Behind the scenes, there goes a lot of thought and effort into curating a wardrobe and learning styling tips that enable her to dress stylishly.
She spends all this effort partly because she enjoys looking good. But partly also because she knows the power that comes with the way people present themselves.
First impressions matter a lot, and your style is an important tool to make or break that impression.
Even beyond first impressions, the way you present yourself is important.
If you look put together, people will see you as a put-together person, who they can trust to get the job done.
So if you are not yet skilled with clothes, hairstyles, and makeup, make sure to brush up on it.
When THAT girl thinks of her friends and social circle, she doesn’t include all her Facebook friends or WhatsApp contacts.
