Why is gratitude important?

You might have heard self-help tips about using gratitude as part of your morning routine. And perhaps that sounds cringe and unnecessarily time-consuming to you. But hear me out.

On the emotional spectrum, gratitude and love are dead centers, neither bad nor inherently good. 

This makes them such a good starting point for improving your mood. 

Whenever you feel stressed, anxious, sad, tired, or furious, don’t try to flip a switch and be happy instantly. It won’t work that way and will only frustrate you. 

Instead, try to aim for thankfulness first. This is a much more attainable goal, and it’s getting easier and easier the more you practice. 

This is also why gratitude can be used as a tool for manifestation. According to the law of attraction, you need to embody energy higher than your normal energy to attract a better life. 

For example, suppose you are used to and feel comfortable dating low-quality partners that don’t have their life together. In that case, you will unlikely attract a romantic and successful partner unless you raise your energy to match them. 

Gratitude is the gateway to this. Once you’ve reached the neutral level on the emotional scale, all the manifestation tools you know will prove much more fruitful to you.
