A morning routine is a set of habits or activities that you do every day as soon as you wake up. It can help you prepare for the day ahead, boost your mood and energy, and set your priorities and goals. According to research, having a consistent morning routine can also improve your mental and physical health, enhance your creativity and productivity, and reduce stress and anxiety.
Jennifer Aniston: According to Well+Good, she wakes up between 4:30 and 5 a.m. on workdays, drinks a glass of water with lemon, and does very simplistic face care. By then, 8:30 a.m. rolls around, which means meditation for 10-20 minutes. At about 9 a.m., she has breakfast which consists of a healthy protein smoothie. Afterward she heads to the gym to do spin-yoga, followed by either cardio or strength training.
Mark Zuckerberg: He is one of the late risers among the successful people as he wakes up at 8 a.m. Then he does what personal development coaches usually advise against and checks Facebook and WhatsApp immediately. After catching up with the online world, he exercises on some days of the week. What he eats for breakfast is a spontaneous decision. Lastly, Mark Zuckerberg is famous for choosing to wear the same t-shirt every day to reduce the number of unimportant choices he has to make every day.
Taylor Swift: She wakes up at 7 a.m. to make herself a cup of tea and toast. After showing her cats some well-deserved appreciation, she makes sure to hit the gym. After that, she gets herself ready and goes to work.
Khloé Kardashian: She gets up at 5 a.m., brushes her teeth, and quickly washes her face before she heads to the most important part of her morning: the workout.
Kourtney Kardashian: The oldest Kardashian sister starts her day with a prayer at 7 a.m. Her morning proceeds with dropping the kids off at school and working out. Throughout her morning, she has multiple healthy drinks: A collagen drink, an apple tea, and a morning shake.
Jim Kwik: The brain coach starts his day by making his bed. Next, he hydrates with a glass of water and takes care of his body with supplements. Throughout his morning, he spends some time on breathing techniques, meditation, moving his body, and journaling. If you want to know more about his tried and tested morning routine, check out his blog post on the topic.
Oprah Winfrey: She wakes up naturally between 6 a.m. – 6:20 a.m., has a quick moment of gratitude, and then takes care of her dogs. Next, she enjoys a chai tea or a cappuccino until she hits the gym at 7 a.m. After that, she dedicates 10-20 minutes to meditation before eating a healthy breakfast and taking her supplements. From 9 a.m., she starts to deal with work.
Vishen Lakhiani: The founder of Mindvalley sets himself up for success by doing five daily rituals: He checks on his health, meditates, exercises, eats a healthy breakfast, and spends at least 20 minutes learning a topic he dedicated himself to. If you love improving yourself, you should definitely check out the course collection on Mindvalley.
Arianna Huffington: She is another advocate of waking up naturally, which comes easily to her after getting at least 8 hours of sleep every night since her accident. Next, she makes sure to avoid her phone while taking a moment for gratitude and intention setting. Before exercising on her bike or doing yoga, she spends 20-30 minutes meditating. Her breakfast consists of coffee only.
Zendaya: She is not a morning person, and it shows with her waking up at 8:00 a.m. and staying in bed for at least a few minutes, if not much longer. Then she reads any new messages on her phone and checks her calendar for the day. After a shower and her skincare routine, she tries to force herself to eat breakfast before the work part of her day starts.
